A Family Christmas Extravaganza

Scott's family all came up the day after Christmas. His parents arrived for dinner. The snow and ice south of us delayed his brother and kids til around 10 or 10:30. With their entry came squeals of delight from BOTH sides....and let the mayhem begin. From that point on it was constant chatter and playing (minus the few hours of sleep at night).

All the cousins had a ball...and, amazingly, having 9 kids and 6 adults in the house was relatively calm.....if you are used to kids running around all the time. But, really, it was a lot of fun.

Nana and Papa brought Christmas gifts ... opened after dinner. Then the exchange between families....so Christmas seemed to reach clear til Saturday afternoon. We opened and played and video taped and snapped pictures and laughed and told stories and shopped until we couldn't do ANYTHING else. What a blast! Just the way family get togethers are 'supposed' to be.

Now....we have just 3 kids in the house. Spencer and Jordan went to Tennessee and Brysen stayed here. After church I have read a book and dozed while these 3 just play happily! What more can I ask for?

Getting our WHOLE family together doesn't happen all that often...so again we took advantage and tried to get a family pic. What a joke! Robby video taped the entire thing...should be a family heirloom....or maybe blackmail worthy...someday. In the end we opted to only take ONE picture. It isn't very good photography....some summer we will get a photographer to do it so .... so what? So every one is happy? Ha! Hopefully someone running into place won't happen, at very least. But...here it is. What a fun family....I'm glad to be a part of it!
