It was pretty elementary...but Jordan hung with it for a bit. It was a game for Cody really....and that was good for a time. But the older kids need something too. How do you find a game for BOTH and ALL, etc? Well, last year we also got Pictureka for Christmas. It just never came out til this past week for some reason. Cody didn't want to play at first but ended up being just as good at finding the pictures as everyone else. The "rules" are modified to fit our family, but it is a fun game we all enjoy.
I know this picture is small, but the game board is made up of 9 game tiles that look like this. You have to find little pictures, or a picture of something described (i.e. something you drink) in a certain amount of time. It is actually really fun and I chuckle to see how FAST Cody gets them.
So....any family favorites on your end? Let me know...we are always looking for something that we ALL can play and have fun at the same time.

We have a hard time, too, finding something that is easy enough for Trev but not too boring for the rest of us. We love Whoonu (sometimes we have to explain what things mean to Trev but otherwise he can play it by himself) but mostly we stick to card games like UNO, SKIPBO, and Phase 10 when he's playing. Our favorite games to play without him are Blockus and Quelf. :)
Kyler played a new game over Cmas when he was in M'boro called The Chicken or the Egg. We are buying that one next.
I was going to suggest Phase 10, Skipbo and Uno also. Phase 10 is Carolyn Newman's and my favorite! But we are branching out and playing a lot more other games now too. One you can't find in the stores, but you can find on the internet is 5ive Straight. It is AWESOME and I think your whole family could play it in teams. My sister and her husband, Andrew and I all played it for hours while we were cruising to your 'mission' area last October!
