These 3 pictures are out of order....but just show some of the beauty of the Great Outdoors! They were taken on our hike TODAY....not yesterday!

My sister and her husband as well as my brother and his wife came down yesterday. Sitting around isn't much like our family so we spontaneously (another of our family traits) decided to hike up a Squaw Peak. ALL of us started there.....
(L to R: Me, Patrick, Jordan, Spencer, Nicky, Kelsey, Cody)
...and a few of us headed ALL THE WAY to Rock Canyon. Had it only been Gary and me we would have found a way down the canyon. But Spencer and Cody were sure troopers and finished with us. Thankfully we found a road near by that the others could just come pick us up instead of waiting until we walked ALL THE WAY back.
Spencer and Cody spent MOST of their time searching for "fun" creatures outside. Here are just a few of their "finds."
It was beautiful up in the mountains! Not only was it a beautiful VIEW from up there, but the weather was PERFECT! I LOVE THE MOUNTAINS!!!
Kelsey lower and Jordan higher on the trail
We got home and had lunch and sat on the back deck. It wasn't long and our spontaneous decision making kicked in full force. "Let's go rafting down the Provo river!" I checked into it and off we went. A couple hours later we were in the river and an hour and a half later we were out. It was a blast! The scenery was perfect! The weather was perfect! The company was perfect! It was just perfect all the way around. Here are some random pictures.....and not near all of them.

We decided to hike Stewart Falls. Gary and Katie came with their dog, Sadie. I brought all the kids and then some of our friends from Mom's Ward came, the Agla's. It was longer than I remember, but still beautiful and fun. The falls at the end MAKE it! Here are just a FEW pictures!

I didn't get a lot of pictures of Jordan and Spencer because they ran ahead of us on the trail. There were a lot of great photo shoot opportunities! The mountains are beautiful, to say the least.
But, I will end this post now! It is far too long....but mostly pictures....thank goodness for all of you who actually are still reading!

I just can't help thinking how sad it is that the majority of my students will never have the opportunity in their lifetimes to experience the wonderful nature that your kids got to in the last few days! What a wonderful blessing! I really miss it!
What an incredible time you had! How fun is that? Remember girls' camp is just around the corner and the time you spent with your family in Utah will just be wonderful memories as you trudge thru the heat and humidity of Illinois! But it is beautiful here too! Thanks for sharing all of your awesome pictures (well, some of your awesome pictures)! Loved seeing them!
OMG! Those are beautiful kids in beautiful pictures. How is it you made it to Illinois? and WHY? Just kidding. If you hadn't we wouldn't have met and that would be a shame. Your kids are surely lucky to have you as a mom. Thanks for sharing.
