Spencer

I was thinking recently about how Spencer and I both LOVE artistic things. He and I are really a lot alike. The other day he found the tools we bought him for his birthday and asked what he could take apart. He wanted to take apart an endtable I had made. Boy....this summer is going to be interesting finding creative things to keep that mind and body occupied!

I received a phone call from his teacher yesterday....she emailed those pictures of the day he found out he won 1st place. One, in particular, I love the best...here it is.


Here is the other piece he entered...a drawing of this "mongolea" creature he made up. It was good. I love to see him proud of his talents.


And the proud boy WITH his winning piece AND the 1st place ribbon.


What more can I say? The feeling hasn't worn off yet.

That's an awesome picture of the two of you! And yes, summer will be interesting. You will have to find ways to harness that energy and enthusiasm. If only you could figure out projects for him to do that would help you a lot!
