AHA Film Festival

This past Monday evening I took Jordan and Spencer to the AHA Film Festival - where the High School media class shows the films they have made all year. Because of Spencer's love of illustration, his teacher is avidly trying help him for later in life. I am glad and grateful. She gave us tickets and wanted him to meet Terry Thoren, the name behind the Thorneberries and the Rugrats. He's now the CEO of some Clasky....da da da...animation type studios (like Hanna Barbera used to be).

Terry Thoren was very gracious in a kid type way. He took Spencer under his wing (literally) and made him feel like a million bucks! The night was ALL ABOUT Spencer ... his limelight ... and he LOVED it. The smile on his face will not soon be erased from my heart!

Mrs. Fatheree also introduced him to the animation guy in the class. Though only a High School Senior, he was old and mature to Spencer. Having a funny mohawk-like haircut made him even cooler to Spencer (*cringe*). But Justin also made Spencer feel like he was all that....was big and cool and such. It made me soooo very happy!

Another bonus for the night was that Jordan showed ultimate maturity (he seems to be exuding that more lately) in LETTING Spencer steal the show. He stood in the background...not always easy for the first born.

Seeing my two oldest boys in such a way was perfect for me....a perfect start to my week, and just one of those unforgettable moments.
